Photographic Method 

  My goal is to bring out the beauty that is inherent in the landscape, not to create it. The scenes in my photographs are camera-composed using exposure, depth of field and cropping only. No filters are used. The images digitized for reproduction are not manipulated in any way except for cropping and minor rotational adjustments. The colour and exposure renditions are as the images hit the film.  

  All precautions are taken in the execution of my photographs to ensure the sharpest image possible from the medium. Care is applied right from the start. Each photograph shown in the Gallery was tripod-shot with mirror lock-up and timed shutter release. I use the following equipment;

Camera: Nikon F3 (High Eye Point)
 
Lenses: Nikkor 105mm macro f2.8, Nikkor 24mm f2.8
 
Film: Fujichrome Velvia 35mm slide film exclusively
 
Tripod: Manfrotto
